Polyphane Fit is a highly efficient and cost-effective label decoration alternative capable of wrapping up to 60,000 bottles per hour; being printed using flexo, gravure, offset and digital; being applied with all seaming processes, including hot-melt adhesive, UV adhesive, solvent, ultrasonic, laser, etc.; and running on conventional wraparound equipment. The Polyphane Fit product line includes:
• Polyphane Fit HA: engineered for hot air tunnels, up to 25 percent shrink.
• Polyphane Fit ST: engineered for steam tunnels, up to 25 percent shrink.
• Polyphane Fit STS: engineered for steam tunnels, up 50 percent shrink.
“Polyphane Fit lets beverage manufacturers quickly switch from conventional wraparound labeling to shrink labeling on the same machine,” Clark said. “The hassle-free changeover doesn’t require any new equipment. The production line conversion process also has fewer steps than sleeve shrinkage. And that leads to better overall cost-effectiveness.”
Polyphane Fit was developed and is manufactured by Polysack Plastic Industries Ltd., Israel. Avery Dennison has entered into a collaborative agreement with Polysack to exclusively distribute and sell Polyphane Fit roll-fed shrink films in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. This is the first distribution agreement Avery Dennison has established with another label material supplier.
