D.D. Williamson has introduced a water-dispersible alternative from a natural source. The hue of DDW’s natural beta-carotene ranges from yellow to orange, depending on concentration, enhancing the visual appeal of juice drinks, tropical beverages, desserts and other products. As a coloring, it performs equal to or better than synthetic beta-carotene. DDW’s new coloring also is designed to reduce the risk of sedimentation, ringing and cap/bottle staining, and delivers quicker dispersion and less cloudiness in solution. Dosage rates range from 0.005 to 0.1%, depending on the coloring concentration and application, and it applies to beverages systems ranging from pH 3.0 to 7.0.
