Schreiber Foods is planning a major expansion at its Logan, Utah plant that will increase the company's cream cheese capabilities and make the Logan plant the largest in its portfolio.

The Green Bay Wis. cheesemaker, No. 5 in Dairy Foods' Dairy 100 last year, told a Utah newspaper that the expansion is needed to help meet customer demand for the cream cheese business it has acquired in the past two years.

The company will receive $1 million in financial incentives offered by the city and the state to help pay for the expansion. It is expected to produce 90 new jobs.
