New York City-Central Park's famous Tavern on the Green was the venue of choice for Wells' Dairy Inc.'s East Coast coming out celebration of Blue Bunny® ice cream products. Based in Le Mars, Iowa, Wells Blue Bunny ice cream products have only been available on the East Coast through Wal-Mart stores. Since the beginning of the year, Blue Bunny frozen desserts have been hopping into all types of retailers' freezers throughout the region.

At the Central Park function, editors from leading consumer and trade publications had the opportunity to sample classic and new Blue Bunny products. From indulgence to better-for-you frozen treats, editors walked away impressed. The menu included new items such as Sweet Freedom® Raspberry Cheesecake (no-sugar-added, reduced-fat cheesecake ice cream bar infused with cheesecake pieces and raspberry swirl, and dipped in smooth dark chocolate) and Bite Sized Take 5™ Bars (a bonbon-style novelty featuring peanut butter ice cream topped with caramel, peanuts and caramel-coated pretzels covered in Hershey'® milk chocolate).
