FDA field investigators have been given a high-priority assignment to inspect a large number of food processing plants, including dairy plants, to evaluate their food security programs, according to IDFA. Many of the FDA security inspections are being done as a part of traditional FDA plant inspections, but some plants are receiving a special visit as part of this new FDA initiative. The assignment also calls for some limited sample collection, IDFA said. White Clover Dairy Inc., Hollandtown, Wis.
