Founded by third-generation Texas pecan farmer Kortney Chase, Pecana’s expansion includes new placements at Natural Grocers, Harmons and Sprouts Farmers Market (Texas), alongside its recent national launch with Walmart, bringing the brand’s footprint to nearly 4,500 stores nationwide ahead of the holiday.
The new PKN Zero offers a simple, delicious, nutritious non-dairy milk with a subtle taste of roasted pecans, reminiscent of pecan pie, with a buttery texture without gums, added sugar, or other additives, the company said.
In a relatively new category, hybrid dairy, which combines both plant-based and animal-based ingredients into a single food, has yet to fully take off. Dairy processors started experimenting with hybrid dairy after seeing meat producers come out with blended meats.
