Dean Foods and the dairy cooperative CROPP (owner of the Organic Valley brand), are partnering in to bring organic milk to retailers through Dean Foods' processing plants and direct store delivery distribution system.

Organic producers in Northern New England, Maine and much of Wisconsin are not able to graze cows for pasture feeding yet, due to weather not warming nor pastures drying as fast as is desirable.

Total Organic Milk Products sales for June 2013, 179 million pounds, were up 5.8% from June last year. Organic Whole Milk sales for June 2013, 47 million pounds, were up 8.2% compared with June last year and up 8.9% year-to-date compared with last year.
