This summer, I had the pleasure of attending the Michigan AgroExpo show to talk about the political and economic trends shaping the dairy business environment.

After a sustained period of fewer wars and the fact that fewer people went to bed hungry each night, our world is experiencing an intense period of heightened global conflict with serious geopolitical consequences, altering our nation’s security. 

Nutrition and wellness, global competitiveness, and sustainability are among the main goals for the future.

So much has changed in the dairy industry in the past two years that it can be difficult to assess.

I've just completed my first year at the helm of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), and it's truly a joy to reflect on all that's happened during that brief time. To start, let me say how much I've enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people throughout the dairy supply chain and learning about the inner workings of this dynamic industry.
