On Sept. 19, 15 sustainable food and agriculture entrepreneurs showcased solutions to improve the way we grow food and feed the world at FoodBytes! Chicago, a live pitch competition and business mentorship platform presented by Rabobank, the world’s largest food and agriculture bank.

The ninth annual National Dairy Council (NDC) New Product Competition is seeking the next innovative dairy product from college students across the United States and Canada.

According to the New York-based association, this year’s entries showed that retailers are increasingly relying on innovations in store brand products and packaging to attract and retain shoppers.

Organizers said they received 1,536 entries for the 2019 contest.

Dairy Foods is accepting nominations for the 14th annual Exporter of the Year award, given in partnership with the U.S. Dairy Export Council.

All companies must submit their entry forms to the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association by July 19.

Award winners represent U.S. dairy’s commitment to sustainability.

Each year, Dairy Foods and the Elmhurst, Ill.-based American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) honor one deserving ADPI member company with the Breakthrough Award for Dairy Ingredient Innovation. The award celebrates achievements and innovations in one or more of four categories.

Dairy Foods magazine presented its 2018 Processor of the Year award to Land O'Lakes Inc. during the Jan. 22 lunch session at the 2019 Dairy Forum in Orlando, Fla. Chris Roberts, president of Land O'Lakes' Dairy Foods unit and executive vice president, accepted the award on behalf of the Arden Hills, Minn.-based cooperative.
