    Smith Brothers Farms has positioned itself for growth from new products and from co-packing opportunities. Raw milk capacity increased 55% to 70,000 gallons and pasteurized milk capacity soared 300% to 60,000 gallons.

    Muller Quaker Dairy, a joint venture between PepsiCo Inc. and Theo Muller Group opened a 350,000-square-foot state-of-the-art yogurt manufacturing facility in Batavia, N.Y., on June 3. The company is targeting LEED certification for the facility.

    The Roberts Dairy brand will be discontinued in May when the dairy's milk and dairy products will be marketed under the Hiland Dairy Foods label. In a statement, Hiland said "the move will solidify the synergy between two of the country’s finest dairy producers, under one name."
