Leak detection systems: PBI-Dansensor

PBI-Dansensor has upgraded its leak detection systems for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) with the LeakMatic II and LeakPointer II. Both utilize a state-of-the-art optical CO2 sensor to detect package leaks that is faster and more responsive to detecting even trace amounts of CO2. The optical sensor isn’t sensitive to the elevated CO2 levels often found in a MAP food production environment, it can be ready to use in one minute, and it works in tandem with a new, advanced leak-testing algorithm that ensures accuracy of actual leaks in the MAP product. Both the LeakMatic II and LeakPointer II use a non-destructive testing technique that spots leaks without destroying packages.
