SPX’snew APV cavitator, which is exclusively licensed from Hydro Dynamics Inc., Rome, Ga., sends shockwaves produced from the collapse of “controlled cavitation” bubbles and works by taking fluid into the machine housing that passes through a controlled cavitation field created by the reactor’s spinning rotor. This advanced technology is said to be used for a multitude of sanitary applications, ranging from pasteurization to low-pressure homogenization.
