Emmi’s Benecol Iogurte Liquido Magro contains plant stanols, which are clinically shown to reduce cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. This product also purports to block excessive absorption of cholesterol. Emmi Benecol comes in six packs of 65-milliliter plastic bottles at a retail price of 3.59 euros (about $4.90). A portion of the purchase price is donated to Portugal’s cardiology institute.
