The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy is sponsoring the inaugural U.S. Dairy Sustainability Awards to recognize dairy farms and businesses for practices that deliver outstanding economic, environmental and social benefits and help to advance sustainability in the dairy industry.


The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy is sponsoring the inaugural U.S. Dairy Sustainability Awards to recognize dairy farms and businesses for practices that deliver outstanding economic, environmental and social benefits and help to advance sustainability in the dairy industry.

Two of the awards, Outstanding Dairy Processing & Manufacturing Sustainability and Outstanding Achievement in Energy, are open to dairy processors.

The awards recognize dairy farms and businesses for practices that deliver outstanding economic, environmental and/or social benefit, all helping to advance sustainability of the dairy industry.

The awards are as follows:

The Elanco Award for Outstanding Dairy Farm Sustainability: Recognizing three dairy farm businesses, regardless of farm size, location or type of operation for demonstrating outstanding achievement in sustainability.

Outstanding Dairy Processing & Manufacturing Sustainability:Recognizing processing and manufacturing businesses for demonstrating outstanding achievement in sustainability.

Outstanding Achievement in Energy: Recognizing outstanding achievement in energy conservation and/or renewable energy generation.
 
Individuals, groups and organizations involved with, or part of, the U.S. dairy industry are encouraged to submit a nomination before Dec. 1. The International Dairy Foods Association, Washington, D.C., will participate in the judging process.
