New Holland, Pa.-based Alouette Cheese, an American brand of French-style cheeses produced by the French company Bongrain SA, added three new products for the 2010 holiday season. The new products are Alouette Gourmet Spreadable Cheese Logs in Garlic & Herbs and Sundried Tomatoes flavors; and Alouette Cheesecake, a limited edition spreadable cheese. All three retail for an average of $4.99, providing a great value for holiday and everyday entertaining, according to the company.
“The holidays are a beloved time of year for hosting and attending celebrations, and our consumers trust Alouette to provide great entertaining items that look impressive on the table, but require little time to pull off in the kitchen,” said Rafael Lampon, marketing director. “As a leader in the specialty and gourmet cheese category, Alouette continually strives to bring new and innovative products to the consumer that can be used for quick and seamless entertaining – at holiday time and year round.”
The handcrafted cream cheese-based logs have a creamy texture, making them easy to spread or to slice. The Alouette Cheesecake is an all-natural, dessert-inspired spreadable cheese. The new flavor adds the perfect complement to graham crackers, vanilla cookies, bagels and fresh fruit. It can also be used in holiday baking to create sumptuous desserts.
