Westby, Wis.-based Westby _Cooperative Creamery, which turns 100 years old on Oct. 31, 2003, rolls out Roasted Tomato Red Pepper Dip. The naturally cultured, sour cream-based dip is chock full of real chunks of tomatoes and peppers. It comes in 8-oz and 16-oz containers.

Artisan gelato and sorbet manufacturer Ciao Bella Gelato, New York, introduces new pint flavors and packaging for consumers. The new flavors include Blackberry Cabernet Sorbet, Blood Orange Sorbet, Green Tea with White Chocolate Chunks Gelato and Dulce De Leche Gelato. To make its frozen desserts, the company sources fine ingredients from all over the world. For example, the Blood Orange Sorbet uses ruby red oranges that are grown exclusively at the foot of the Mount Etna volcano in Sicily, Italy. The new retail package uses intense color palettes in somewhat unusual combinations to build flavor sensations, the company says.

Drawing heavily on south-of-the-border flavors, ingredients and inspirations, Cabot Creamery Cooperative Inc., Cabot, Vt., rolls out Chipotle Cheddar cheese. This "hot" flavor joins Cabot's other recently introduced unique flavor --Cheddar Cheese with a Taste of Parmesan.
