Dairy-based salad dressings from Ken’s Foods and Litehouse Foods, yogurts from Mountain High and Yoplait and milk from Smart Balance star in this week’s free-standing inserts.

FSI report for the week beginning May 8, 2011

Salad dressings with dairy ingredients were featured in this week’s free-standing inserts.

Ken’s Foods promoted its salad dressings, including its Lite Northern Italian with basil and Romano. The FSI features a pasta and broiled vegetable recipe calling for the dressing and one-half cup of feta cheese. The food maker dangled a $1 coupon toward the purchase of any 16-ounce SKU.

Litehouse Foods shared a strawberry-chicken salad recipe that also calls for feta cheese. The FSI, headlined “Feel good about what you eat,” includes a $1 coupon toward the purchase of any two SKUs, many of which are made with dairy ingredients. It directs shoppers to Facebook and Twitter for additional coupons and offers.

In other FSI activity:
  • Mountain High Yoghurt states that its yogurt is “your secret ingredient for healthier recipes” and directs shoppers to its website for hundreds of recipes. The FSI includes two $1 coupons toward the purchase of any 32-ounce yogurt SKU.
  • GFA Brands dangles $5.50 in coupon savings for its Smart Balance milks, spreads and other foods.
  • General Mills’ Yoplait promotes its 110-calorie per serving food as an alternative to higher-calories snacks.
