 Sealed Air released its Cryovac LT-1 shrink sleeve labeling technology. 

 Evergreen introduced its latest innovation: Fresh-Look cartons, paperboard cartons with windows.  

 CDF Corp. developed the Smart Pail, an environmentally-friendly liner-in-box system. 

 WS Packaging Group introduced a new lineup of label application equipment. Included were the Lightning 50 and Lighting 100 label applicators, Primara 750 print-and-apply label applicators, Spectra custom application systems, and Herma label applicators. 

Dairy processors said they seek durable packaging materials to increase stability as their products move through the supply chain. Processors also are using sustainable materials to extend shelf-life; seeking easy-to-open and close fitments; and developing attention-grabbing shapes and stand-up pouches.

Tear strips, seals and tamper-evident designs secure food packaging. These options discourage tampering, counterfeiting and contamination.

Minnesota-based dairy processor Kemps is selling flavored milk in unique cow-themed plastic bottles. The 76-ounce containers are made by the supplier and shipped to Kemps' milk plants. 

A new end-of-line piece of equipment developed by Delkor Systems shaves off as much as 30% of the time required for cultured dairy products to cool between packaging and shipping
