The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) said it is seeking nominations for three awards presented annually to leaders in the dairy industry: the IDFA Laureate Award, the 2022 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year Award and the IDFA Food Safety Leadership Award.
IDFA said the move protects U.S. dairy exports and global infant nutrition supply chains.

After months of advocacy by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) with U.S. and European officials, the European Commission (EC) decided Aug. 10 to extend the implementation deadline for its new health certificate requirements to Jan. 15, 2022.

The group of emerging dairy-industry leaders was selected based on their experience and scope of responsibility within their organizations.

The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) said 30 future leaders of the dairy industry were accepted into the third class of the NextGen Leadership Program, a signature program of IDFA’s People Strategy.
Wisconsin companies that enter a new cow’s milk dairy product in the 2021 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest will receive from DFW a 50% reimbursement on the $60 contest entry fee.

The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), sponsor of the annual World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest, said it is continuing an agreement with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) regarding contest entries.
The cooperative said it assembled a team of experts in the field of sustainability across numerous priority areas: from environmental stewardship to employee welfare to animal husbandry and beyond.
