National New Markets Fund (NNMF), an affiliate of Los Angeles-based SDS Capital Group, will invest $17.5M of its New Markets Tax Credit allocation to support the 150,000-square-foot expansion, which will increase Rich’s production capacity for its growing branded appetizer business.

The expansion of Rich’s Morristown facility will add 2,400 square feet of space, which will directly support enhanced production of its growing bakery business, serving national and regional grocery and club retailers. 

The company will be implementing new automation and efficiency plans to ensure the brand is equipped for future demand.

With the increased footprint, FlavorSum will build out more technical resources and capacity to meet the needs of small, mid-sized and emerging food and beverage companies, the company states.

The company has now seen same-store sales growth in 39 of its last 41 quarters. It also expanded its introduction of third-party delivery and online ordering in select locations supported by a brand-new website and award-winning rewards program.
