A PREBIOTIC FIBER WITH METABOLIC HEALTH BENEFITS

Arrabina P from Comet was developed to fill the market need for a low-dose FDA-recognized fiber with well-established prebiotic and metabolic health benefits. With its excellent solubility, low viscosity, and low inclusion rate, Arrabina offers an easy way for manufacturers to create delicious products while strengthening nutrition labels and sustainability claims, the company says.

    PREBIOTIC AGAVE INULIN FIBER

Organic Agave Inulin is a premium prebiotic fiber derived from the heart of the agave plant. With its mild, slightly sweet flavor and natural solubility, it enhances the texture and nutritional profile of a wide range of products. A low glycemic index makes it an ideal choice for managing blood sugar levels while boosting fiber content and supporting digestive health, the company says. USDA Certified Organic and ethically sourced, Global Organics’ Agave Inulin enhances creaminess and fiber content without adding sugar for a variety of dairy products including yogurt, ice cream, smoothies, protein beverages, and more.

    ORGANIC PREBIOTIC SOLUBLE TAPIOCA FIBER

Icon Foods' FibRefine P90 Soluble Tapioca Fiber is a prebiotic dietary fiber that can reduce added sugar and enhance mouthfeel, while supporting a healthy gut microbiome. Also known as cassava root fiber, an organic option will be available from the company in early 2025. The smooth, neutral flavor profile of soluble tapioca fiber complements high-intensity sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. This gives it the ability to offer a clean-label, non-GMO, and kosher solution that remains stable in many dairy applications, including shakes, smoothie,s and frozen desserts, the company says. Stacking FibRefine with other fibers avoids potential digestive issues, enabling a higher prebiotic fiber inclusion on the Nutrition Facts Panel.

    PREBIOTIC INGREDIENTS FOR GUT HEALTH

IFPC provides a diverse range of prebiotic ingredients to support gut health in dairy formulations. The company’s offerings include inulin, which promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, as well as beta-glucans derived from oats and barley. Also available are fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which are naturally found in fruits and vegetables. The company also supplies galactooligosaccharides (GOS), resistant starch from tapioca, potatoes, and corn, and citrus fiber, which it says are known for their immune-supporting benefits. Additionally, pectin from apples and citrus fruits acts as a versatile prebiotic, the company says.
