IPEC — Brian Householder has been promoted to director of technical service for the New Castle, Pa.-based closures company, and Todd Price has joined as director of quality.
Multivac Inc. — Bill Gardner has been appointed eastern regional service supervisor and John Hofer has been appointed western regional service supervisor for the Kansas City, Mo.-based packaging manufacturer.
Owens-Illinois Inc. — Derek Whiteside has been named vice president and general manager machinery, licensing and emerging markets for the Toledo, Ohio-based maker of glass packaging.
Procorp Inc. — Robert Brillhart has joined the Wauwatosa, Wis.–based provider of water-treatment solutions as project engineer.
Solvay America Inc. — Carolyn Egbert has been named vice president of compliance and corporate responsibility for the Houston-based chemical company.
D.D. Williamson & Co. Inc. — Margaret Lawson has been appointed vice president of science and innovation of the Louisville, Ky.-based maker of caramel color.
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) — Robert Amen has been appointed chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the Dayton, N.J.-based company.
Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA)The Middleton, Wis.-based association recently elected the following officers: Greg Kinate, Kineva Foods, president; Joe Weis, Foremost Farms USA, vice president; Jim Bleick, Graf Creamery, treasurer; and Dennis Donohue, Manitowoc Milk Producers, secretary.
Prairie Farms Dairy Inc. — Don Kullman, 68, an industry consultant and a former vice president of the Carlinville, Ill.-based cooperative, died May 31. Kullman was one of the first members of the IDFA’s Grass Roots Action Network for Dairy (GRAND) and won the first GRAND Pioneer Award in 2002.
University of Wisconsin Elmer Marth, 78, professor emeritus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and well-known food-safety expert, died June 19. In recognition of his lifelong dedication to researching and teaching cheese safety, Marth received the National Cheese Institute Laureate Award in 2004.
