SIAL 2010, the global food marketplace, runs Oct. 17-21 in Paris. The organizers expect 5,500 exhibitors and 148,000 visitors at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. Highlights include:
• The Trends & Innovations Observatory, showing an exhibition of innovative food products and spotlighting consumer trends.
• Food Design, giving pride of place to trend forecasting.
• La Cuisine du SIAL, promoting gastronomic creations and enabling visitors to taste the latest food trends.
The organizers also are creating a “shop of the future,” a Nutrition & Health Village and a sustainability area.
