Lipidsana is a dairy-based meal replacement milkshake from Lipid4Life Gmbh, Bad Soden, Germany. Fortified with DHA and EPA, as well as MCTs (medium chain triglycerides with thermogenic - fat burning - properties called dual lipid oxidation [DLO]), Lipidsana claims to help lose weight, improve metabolism, and help decrease the risk of atherosclerosis and inflammatory bowel disease. The MCTs are derived from such sources as coconut and palm kernel oils. It is the combination and unique ratio of omega-3s and MCTs that is the basis for these claims. Lipidsana is said to be the world’s first food with DLO.
The first ingredient in Lipidsana is skimmed milk. The milkshake comes in single-serve aseptic 200-millilter cartons in four flavors: chocolate, tomato, vanilla and wild berry. Each serving contains 1,600 milligrams of fish-derived omega-3 fatty acids. It is available online and in fine drugstores across Europe.
