In Japan, Coca-Cola has reformulated its popular Emerald Mountain Blend Cafe Au Lait drink to contain more quality coffee aroma as well as a more refreshing aftertaste. This is achieved by using coffee beans made by a high-temperature roasting technique, according to the manufacturer, who also says that this product is the only one to feature the extremely rare Emerald Mountain coffee beans. Not only the taste but also the packaging design has been revised to more strongly focus on the Emerald Mountain beans’ ingrained quality and rich aroma.
