The alliance includes major companies such as Dairy Farmers of America, Arla Foods, Campina, and Fonterra and according to some reports, it will serve as a global defense against anti-dairy sentiments.

Heather Mills, the estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney, said earlier this year that cutting out dairy helped her to recover from a post-operation infection. Kevin Bellamy, chief executive of Britain’s Milk Development Council will lead the Global Dairy Platform.
