Carlisle Companies Inc., says it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Carlisle Process Systems to Tetra Pak. The sale is subject to regulatory approval, but is expected to close before the end of the year.

Cargillsays the European Commission has approved its acquisition ofDegussa'sfood ingredients operations. The Blommer Chocolate Co., Chicago, recently purchased an 85,000 sq ft chocolate manufacturing facility in Campbellford, Ontario fromWorld's Finest Chocolate. The acquisition continues Blommer's growth as the largest processor of cocoa beans and chocolate-related products in North America. Operation of the facility is expected to commence the first week of April.
