Cincinnati-based Graeter’s Ice Cream has won the first-ever Dairy Foods Product of the Year for its Skyline Spice Ice Cream. The award honors the best new dairy product introduced from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

Eight thousand, two hundred and five. That’s the number of votes Dairy Foods received from readers for our new 2025 Product of the Year award. I am extremely proud of that number, and equally joyous we had 15 tremendous nominees vying for the inaugural honor.

This annual contest challenges students to create forward-thinking products that showcase the power and versatility of dairy in promoting health and wellness. The deadline for entries is Jan. 12.

Discover Puerto Rico, the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the Island, is collaborating with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to celebrate National Piña Colada Day on July 10 across its New York City locations. 

The Laughing Cow Creamy Jalapeño joins the existing lineup of Creamy Original, Creamy Light, Creamy Garlic & Herb, Creamy Aged White Cheddar Variety, Creamy Spicy Pepper Jack Variety, and Creamy Asiago Variety.

LALA U.S. is introducing authentic licuados — traditional Mexican breakfast smoothies containing milk, fruit and oats — to dairy cases in Walmart and Hispanic-specialty grocers in July.

The company also rolled out new packaging across its entire line of frozen novelty bars.

The product is said to be the industry’s first strawberry-flavored dairy-free milk alternative.

The beverages are made from beets and a handful of other good-for-you ingredients.

Elf Trash and hot cocoa will be available throughout the holiday season.
