    Dean Foods reports a Q4 income gain compared to year ago

    Fourth quarter consolidated operating income totaled $83 million, compared to a consolidated operating loss of $50 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Pro forma adjusted fourth quarter consolidated operating income in 2012 totaled $157 million, a 16 percent increase from the $135 million reported in the fourth quarter of 2011.

    Yoplait Greek yogurt saw 'strong sales gains' but overall sales for the Yoplait division declined.

Established brands, including Yoplait Greek yogurt, also contributed strong sales gains, according to the company's press release.     Agri-Mark will receive the New York Dairy of Distinction 2012 'Business of Distinction' award at a special ceremony on Aug. 27 at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY.

    "We're pleased to announce that Agri-Mark has been named our 2012 'Business of Distinction'," said Nancy Putman, Secretary of Dairy of Distinction's New York chapter. "Agri-Mark and its Cabot and McCadam dairy brands exemplify the very best in the dairy industry."
