For the second consecutive year, Milford, Ohio-based third-party freight logistics company Total Quality Logistics Inc. has been named the No. 1 fastest-growing tri-state private company in 2003 by the Cincinnati Business Courier. Standings are determined by comparing the percentage changes in revenue from 2002 to 2003.
Seepex Inc. has been honored with the 2004 Process Control Equipment Company of the Year award from Frost & Sullivan, a global leader in growth consulting. The accolade is presented to companies that demonstrate outstanding management, consistent growth and high-quality products and services, as well as a positive impact on local and national communities. The award was presented May 20 at Frost & Sullivan’s annual banquet that honors outstanding performance and achievements in industrial technologies.
Seal-It Inc., Farmingdale, N.Y., has been named by Crain’s New York Business as one of the Top 25 women-owned firms in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester counties and New Jersey. This year, Seal-It ranked No. 8 out of 25. The company’s heat-shrink films are used by leading beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and chemical manufacturers throughout the United States and overseas. Operating out of two facilities in Farmingdale, Seal-It prints up to ten colors in either rotogravure or modified flexographic.
Transora and the WorldWide Retail Exchange have linked their Global Data Synchronization (GDS) solutions in an interoperability project that will enable an end-to-end item sychronization solution for their customers. Transora has also announced that The Kroger Co. has selected the company as its data synchronization provider and recipient data pool, expanding on an initial direct-store-delivery data-synchronization pilot program that began in November 2002 and publicly launched in early 2004.

Alfa Laval Inc. has signed a five-year alliance with HRS Process Technology for the joint marketing and manufacturing of ViscoLine tubular heat exchangers in the Unites States. The two companies will co-brand the Viscoline Series of corrugated tubular heat exchangers, Dynamic scraped-surface tubular heat exchangers and the Dynamic scraped-surface tubular evaporators. In other Alfa Laval news, the company has inaugurated a mobile exhibition designed to bring the its products to life science, food and beverage, dairy and cosmetic and personal care customers. The AlfaTour is a 48-foot trailer trade show featuring the company’s heat transfer, separation, fluid handling products and services. Debuting in June, it made a six-week tour in the Northeastern states and will continue this fall in a 12-week tour across the country.
