The new, united organization of the UK dairy industry, Dairy UK, was formally launched last month at a dairy event in Warwickshire in the English Midlands.

For the first time ever, the interests of all sectors of the dairy industry are being represented and promoted on a UK-wide basis by a unified cross-industry body.

Dairy, UK's membership will include publicly listed, private and farmer-control led processing businesses and retail milk distributors.

While individual dairy farmers will not become members of Dairy UK, they will be represented on its Board, and through the National Farmers' Union (NFU) have direct input into its work.
