David Kolb

He succeeds Ed Fleming who is retiring from that position after 43 years of service. Kolb joined Turner in 1991 as a branch mgr., and in 1997 he joined the corporate staff as ice cream sales mgr.

Law Burks
Pechiney Plastic Packaging Inc., Chicago—Law Burkspromoted to dir. of marketing, food and global bottles. He is now responsible for the marketing and customer focus activities for Pechiney Plastic Packaging’s North American food flexible packaging and global plastic bottles businesses. Burks joined Pechiney in 1999 as operations mgr. for its flexible packaging plant.

James Robson
Chr. Hansen, Milwaukee—Otis Curtisappointed dir. of marketing for the company’s savory ingredients business unit andKristin Grossjoins the Human Health and Nutrition business unit. Curtis is responsible for developing strategies to expand Chr. Hansen’s position within the savory marketplace. He has spent more than eight years in the food ingredient industry. He most recently was with Dragoco Flavors and Fragrances, and Danisco Ingredients. Gross is appointed sales mgr. for human health and nutrition, with the responsibility of managing the human probiotic business in North America.

Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Madison, Wis.—James Robson, CEO was recently honored as an Agribusiness Leader of the Year by the Badger Chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Assn. He was recognized for his visionary program called the Wisconsin Dairy Impact Campaign. Robson has more than 30 years experience in the dairy and food industries, and is a former v.p. for Darigold Inc., Seattle. He joined WMMB in Jan. 2001.

Ann Marie McNamara
Silliker Inc., Homewood, Ill.—Ann Marie McNamaranamed v.p. of Food Safety and Scientific Affairs. She previously served as corporate v.p. of Food Safety and Technology for the Sara Lee Corp. and director of microbiology for the office of public health and science (USDA FSIS). McNamara will work with Silliker food safety experts to help companies implement effective risk management programs, develop prevention strategies, and incorporate biosecurity programs.

Robertet Flavors Inc., Piscataway, N.J.—Jose Rodriguez promoted to director of liquid manufacturing. He will assist in overseeing the planning and production of all flavors at the Piscataway facility.

P&O Cold Logistics USA, Dominguez Hills, Calif.—Rick Bastianelli appointed national sales marketing and transportation mgr., and Ed Bill Jr. appointed transportation services mgr. Bastianelli joined the industry in the late 1980s and comes to P&O as part of an acquisition. Bill also joins P&O through the same acquisition. He has been in the transportation and cold storage industries for nearly 20 years.

SKF Service Division, Kulpsville, Pa.—Donald Poland Jr. named president. He succeeds Denny Clark who is retiring after more than 40 years in the bearing business. Prior to joining SKF, Poland spent more than 20 years with General Electric.

Magnum Systems Inc., Kansas City, Kan.—Gary Sunders named v.p. of sales and marketing. He has an extensive sales background in instrumentation, capital equipment, and engineered systems and service.
