Friendship Dairies Jericho, NY-Tangia Miles hired as assistant marketing mgr. She is replacing Margaret McLaughlin who will the newly created role of sales support mgr. In the new position McLaughlin will be the liaison amongst Friendship's v.p of sales, field sales personnel, and marketing department.

Dixon
Alcoa Flexible Packaging, Richmond, Va.- Victor Dixon appointed general mgr. of printed products. Prior to his current assignment, Dixon was general mgr., of Alcoa Conductor Accessories (ACA), a division of AFL Telecommunications. Dixon also held various positions for ACA in which he managed the sales, marketing, channel management, technical services and product design and development departments. Prior to working for Alcoa, Dixon served as product and marketing manager for Copperweld Corporation, the largest producer of steel tubular products in North America. Andrew Todd has accepted the position of national sales manager for industrial films, and Robert Salone joins as a regional sales representative covering Ohio and Michigan. Todd will be located in Richmond. Prior to joining Alcoa, he was packaging sales manager for Xpedx in Chicago, a Reynolon® Shrink Film distributor. Salone most recently worked for Johnson & Johnson and held a number of different positions including business development manager, national account manager, and Great Lakes district manager.

Chr. Hansen, Milwaukee-Three new employees join at Mexican facility. Alfonso Lomeli appointed director of administration and finance for the facility. He has many years of work experience in finance, treasury, auditing, budgeting and forecasting, and has worked for pharmaceutical companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Andre Bigaux and Sanofi in the regions of Mexico, Central America and South America. Jose Oviedo joins as flavors business development mgr. in Mexico. He has several years of experience working with international food companies in sales management. Gustavo Pimentel joins as colors business development Manager in Mexico. He has over 19 years of experience in the food ingredients industry with a strong emphasis in the commercial area.

Danisco Flavors, New Century, Kan.-Joseph Kleppers joins as president of the flavors division. Mr. Kleppers has more than 20 years of experience in the flavor industry. During the past three years Kleppers has been with Sensient, most recently as president of flavors and fragrances worldwide.

Seiberling Associates, Inc., Dublin, Ohio-Tony Orlandoni joins in the position of senior process engineer. Orlandoni brings with him 8.5 years of experience with aseptic systems in the food, dairy and beverage industries.

Steve Welsch recently joined as a process engineer. Welsch graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS degree in chemical engineering. Ryan Stalewski has accepted the position of process engineer. Stalewski is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a BS degree in chemical engineering.

Webber/Smith Associates, Lancaster, Pa.-Chris Davies joins as a senior project mgr. Davies has 17 years experience in project management, process engineering, packaging and automation. He has been responsible for projects in prepared foods, pasta, salty snack, candy and fruit and vegetable sectors.
