What Not to Wear, Flip This House, Pimp My Ride (yes, there is such a show!) ― all share the common theme of someone (or something) undergoing a makeover of some kind. While these and other makeover reality shows may be fun and interesting to watch, they don’t really add value or purpose. (Well, okay, I admit thatFlip This Househas taught what not to do when I go to put my townhome up for sale. There, I’m guilty).
Overall though, I’m not sure that they do any good for mankind.
Thankfully, the folks at Dannon are recreating the term “makeover” by launching a campaign that actually does some good at the end.
Dannon Co., White Plains, N.Y., is lobbying to bring back recess with its newest effort, “Rally for Recess,” where kids can “rally” their efforts and enter to win a playground makeover for their school.
Recess reinvented, refreshed and revitalized
In keeping with Danimals’ longtime dedication to helping kids balance good nutrition with an active lifestyle, now through Feb. 8, 2012, Rally for Recess invites families to collect codes on Danimals packages (or free by mail) and enter the codes online so their school could be one of five winners.
The chance to win the new playground and all-day recess party, including a climbing wall, dunk tank, obstacle course and large slide, is easy. Go to www.RallyForRecess.com and enter the codes found under the packaging wrap. Parents and school administrators can also visit www.Facebook.com/Danimals.
Shoppers can choose from Danimals Smoothie, Crush Cup, Double Crush Cup and Coolisions, which are found in the dairy aisle of grocery stores nationwide. Visit www.dannon.com/storelocator.aspx to find a location near you.
What Danimals can do for you
Danimals, a nutritious, on-the-go low-fat yogurt or smoothie, gives moms an easy, fun and nutritious choice for kids. It contains calcium to help build strong bones and Danimals Crush Cups and Danimals Double Crush Cups contain protein, which is essential in helping children grow strong muscles and maintain healthy skeletal systems. Plus, Danimals are only made with natural colors and flavors and zero high-fructose corn syrup.
Instead of flipping your house, flip your school’s playground and bring recess back into play.
