The Washington, D.C.-based International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), Madison, Wis., both issued statements on the Feb. 15 confirmation of Dr. Robert Califf as FDA commissioner.

In mid-December, the U.S. Senate presided over the confirmation hearing of Dr. Robert Califf, President Biden’s nominee to serve as commissioner of FDA.

USDA and FDA today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will establish an interagency process to further support exports of U.S. dairy products.

According to multiple news outlets, the U.S. Senate voted on Dec. 12 to confirm Stephen Hahn, M.D., most recently chief medical executive of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, as commissioner of the FDA.
