• International Paper, Memphis, has signed two definitive agreements related to the sales of its beverage packaging and Arizona Chemical businesses for combined proceeds of approximately $985 million. The transactions are both subject to adjustments and conditions at closing, including receipt of regulatory approvals. The company says the agreements are part of its transformation plan.

• Cincinnati-based Total Quality Logistics (TQL) has been recognized by Selling Power Magazine as the Transportation Organization of the Year.
