Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc. has acquired the final piece of the U.S. Häagen-Dazs ice cream business last month with the purchase of General Mills Inc.'s Häagen-Dazs shops in the U.S. The 236-parlor chain joins what Dreyer's picked up in its $2.8
billion June buyout by Swiss food giant Nestlé SA. The chain has had a string of owners over the past few decades.

The health board in Ennis Town, Ireland, has lodged an objection with the town
council over plans for a new McDonald's there. The board says that the company's food and the way it is advertised clash with official health policy to reduce obesity in Ireland.

California, the Marschall Cheese Seminar is returning to the Midwest this year. Rhodia, Inc., sponsor of the seminar, will combine it with the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association's Annual Convention. The Dairy Symposium, will be held June 27-29 at the House on the Rock Resort in Spring Green, Wis.

organizers of BevExpo 2004 to become a "supporting association" of the major beverage trade event to be held in
Tampa this fall. BevExpo 2004 is the new beverage trade show devoted to showcasing the broad innovations in equipment, ingredients and other services and supplies to the multi-category beverage
