Trans Slam Breakfast
Restaurant chain Denny’s hopes to serve up fewer trans fats with its Grand Slam breakfasts and other meals beginning this month. Denny’s says it will eliminate trans fats by changing its frying oil and margarine products. It also will work with processed food manufacturers to get them to cut trans fats from their products, the company said.

Peruvian ice cream sales were expected to reach $47 million for 2006, up by about 25% from 2005. Peru’s largest ice cream company is group Helados D’Onofrio, a subsidiary of Nestle Peru.
