DALLAS-Schepps Dairy celebrated the re-opening of its blowmolding facility last month with Dallas Fire Department personnel, city officials, and company employees present for a ribbon cutting and check presentation.

A devastating fire earlier in February resulted in the complete destruction of the facility located at Schepps Dairy, in Dallas. In recognition of the key role that the Dallas Fire Department played in preventing the spread of fire to the surrounding milk processing plant, Schepps Dairy presented a donation of $10,000 to Dallas Fire Department.

"Schepps is pleased to reopen the blowmold portion of our operation," said Pat Boyle, gen. mgr. of Schepps Dairy. "We particularly want to thank the fire department for their swift and professional response."

Dallas-area fire fighters contained the blaze in less than an hour. No employees were injured. The new updated facility took six months to build at a cost of over $10 million.
