Saputo reports that net earnings for the quarter totaled $129.8 million (Canadian), an increase of $17.7 million or 15.8%
Land O'Lakes Inc. reported 2011 net sales of $12.8 billion, a record, up from $11.1 billion in 2010. The sales, up 15%, were the result of record revenues in the company Dairy Foods, Feed and Crop Inputs businesses.
Nestle's Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss, launched in April 2011, continued to build good momentum in the liquid coffee whitener segment, according to the Switzerland-based international food conglomerate, in releasing its first quarter report.
Dean Foods reports strong Q3 results and says there is "continued strong performance across all segments."
Fourth quarter consolidated operating income totaled $83 million, compared to a consolidated operating loss of $50 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Pro forma adjusted fourth quarter consolidated operating income in 2012 totaled $157 million, a 16 percent increase from the $135 million reported in the fourth quarter of 2011.
The Dean Foods spin-off said 2012 sales were about $2.3 billion.
The Dairy Products Division (Canada) continues its investment strategy in product categories that offer growth potential, namely specialty cheeses and value-added milk products. The USA Dairy Products Sector continues to seek opportunities to mitigate the effect of higher milk costs resulting from amendments to the milk pricing formula in California.
Sales of milk products and ice cream increased 5.7% in 2012.
Arla Foods said 2012 revenues rose 15% to about $11.3 billion and consolidated net profit was 3% of revenues ($340 million), highest in its history.
Land O'Lakes Inc. reported 2012 sales of $14.1 billion (up 10.2% from 2011) and net earnings of $241 million (up 31%). Both are records. Additionally, three of the business segments achieved record sales, and the Crop Inputs segment had record earnings in addition to record sales.
