Kraft Foods pulls out all the stops in this week’s free-standing inserts, promoting four new dairy-based foods. It was the dominant dairy foods advertiser this week.

  1. One MilkBite bar contains “real milk in every bite.” In fact, the granola bar delivers the calcium equivalent on an 8-ounce glass of milk. Readers are encouraged to scan a QR code to meet Mel the MilkBite, an animated pitchman. A coupon instructs shoppers to find the product in the dairy section.
  2. Kraft Fresh Take contains natural cheese, spices and breadcrumbs. The FSI shows the Southwest Three Cheese recipe SKU, under the headline “Make something covered in bliss” and showing chicken coated in the product. The FSI asks shoppers to find the cheese in the dairy aisle.
  3. Kraft’s Philadelphia brand introduces Indulgence cream cheese blended with chocolate. The food is available in dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate flavors. The FSI headline is “How do you want your chocolate today?” Serving suggestions include potato chips, crackers, pretzels, strawberries and Kraft’s’ Nilla wafers from its Nabisco division. The package includes the word Indulgence. The FSI directs shoppers to the cream cheese section.
  4. A Shrimp and broccoli fettuccine dish made with Philadelphia Cooking Crème is pictured under the headline “Stir up a fresh family favorite in a few easy steps.” Readers are directed to cookphilly.com for recipes.

In other activity this week:

Sargento introduces its Ultra Thin cheese slices containing 45 calories or less. The slices are available in Swiss, mild Cheddar, Provolone and Colby-Jack flavors.

Abbott Nutrition promotes its Ensure and Glucerna beverages made with dairy ingredients.
