MPI Label Systems Purchases ROI Printing Cos.

MPI Label Systems, a leader in custom printed labels, RFID tags and labeling equipment and services headquartered in Sebring, Ohio, purchased ROI Printing Companies, LLC, based in Baltimore, Md. This acquisition adds another manufacturing operation totaling nine facilities throughout the country with more than 550 employees and 35 sales locations.

MPI’s new location will operate under the name MPI Labels of Baltimore, Inc., providing the same superior labels and service to the beverage, direct mail, cosmetic and other markets that ROI had serviced since 1987.

MPI of Baltimore will provide printed unsupported film, pressure sensitive and paper labels, as well as heat seal pouching, thermformable APET and other specialty packaging. In addition, MPI of Baltimore has pre-press capabilities with a state-of-the-art digital workflow that provide plates, proofs and creative services for its customers.

In addition to various narrow web printing and finishing equipment, MPI of Baltimore offers wide web printing capabilities on a 41.5-inch wide Central Impression Servo press with in-line laminating and back side printing. Advanced automated finishing and slitting equipment also adds value and brings a competitive advantage to the market.
