New Labeling System
Label-Aire has introduced its new Model Inline Series 6000 Zero Downtime Labeling System. This innovative labeling system easily applies labels to round containers at speeds up to 200 containers per minute. Utilizing a top-trap mechanism to secure the product during application, label placement accuracy of +/- 1/32 inch (0.8 millimeters) is maintained. The system’s zero-downtime configuration allows uninterrupted labeling — when one applicator runs out of labels, the system automatically switches to the other and labeling continues. In the event of a jam further up the bottling line, this Inline 6000 variant also has the ability to divert bottles off the line while stopping the infeed side from feeding more bottles into the system until the line is cleared. Another feature is an auto eject system to reject unlabeled bottles. — Label-Aire Inc., 550 Burning Tree Road, Fullerton, Calif., 92833, phone: (714) 441-0700, fax: (714) 526-0300, Web site: www.label-aire.com

Pneumatics Fittings
With the QR1 series, Rexroth provides a comprehensive inch and metric (ISO-G) program for its pneumatic components. In addition to the Mini and Standard programs, the complete fitting program also includes various function fittings. The perfect complement to high-quality machine elements is a range of first-class connection pieces. The QR1 (Quick Release) series includes connections for all types of applications. Push-in fittings are equipped with a plastic release ring that enables fast connection and release of compressed air tubing. The Rexroth QR1 series features a user-friendly oval release ring, making them easier to use than standard push-in fittings. The Mini design has been created for plastic tubing ODs of 1/8 to 1/4 inch and 3 to 6 millimeters. This variety of fittings is completely new at Rexroth and rounds out the product spectrum specifically for the small handling sector. The Standard fittings can be used for tubing ODs of 5/32 to 1/2 inch and 4 to 16 millimeters. Straight, with an elbow or Y-coupling, as a threaded or push-in version, QR1 has the right solution for a variety of applications. Products such as check, ball and flow control valves are also included in the range of function fittings. — Bosch Rexroth Corp., 1953 Mercer Road, Lexington, Ky., 40511-1021, phone: (859) 254-8031, fax: (859) 281-3491, Web site: www.boschrexroth-us.com
All-Stainless Deunitizer
American Conveyor’s all-stainless deunitizer eliminates the need for employees to “drag” stacks of empty crates onto floor conveyors on the way to the washer or stacks of full crates of product on the way to load-out onto an in-floor conveyor after being dropped nearby by a clamp truck. Employing a deunitizer allows the clamp truck to simply drop blocks of stacks that need to be put into a single column on one end of the deunitizer and single stacks of crates exit on the conveyor at the opposite end. The deunitizer has a demonstrated history of paying for itself in less than six months, not including the cost of reduced worker’s comp claims or the shortening of product handling times by a factor five. — American Conveyor Corp., 1819 Flushing Ave., Ridgewood, N.Y., 11385, phone: (718) 386-0480, fax: (718) 456-1233, e-mail: info@americanconveyor.net, Web site: www.americanconveyor.net
Rotor Detection System
Rotary valves used in pneumatic conveying applications do wear, which can result in the valve’s rotor vanes coming into contact with the valve body. If metal-to-metal contact occurs, metal fragments can break off and contaminate the product, causing costly shutdowns and product rejections. Nu-Con’s Rotor Detection System (RDS) immediately alerts plant operators that metal-to-metal contact has occurred. Nu-Con’s RDS monitors the electrical isolation between the rotor and the valve housing. If a rotor vane touches the valve body, even if only for a split second, a warning is sent to personnel via the plant SCADA system and/or the valve is immediately shut down. RDS is available on new Nu-Con valves and can be retrofit to existing Nu-Con valves. — Nu-Con Equipment, 1600 Lake Drive West, Chanhassen, Minn., 55317, phone: (952) 279-5210, fax: (952) 279-5206, Web site: www.nucon.com

Knee Boot
The Servus® Neoprene III Advance™ knee boot adds safety enhancing features to the widely recognized Servus Neoprene III™ knee boot. The goal in design and development of the product was to increase slip resistance as well as to enhance comfort and fit in order to reduce worker fatigue, a contributor to worker accidents and fatigue. The sharp leading edges of the innovative V-Wave™ sole on the Advance boot squeegees water away from under foot, and then disperses fluids through the open channel outsole frame for improved surface contact, thus providing increased slip resistance. The design also increases the amount of actual surface contact. In combination with the special rubber compound formulation, the design produces one of the most slip resistant outsoles in the market today. — Norcross Safety Products LLC, 1136 Second Street, Rock Island, Ill., 61201, phone: (309) 786-7741, fax: (309) 786-6923

Automated CIP System
Fogg Filler has introduced its semi-automatic Clean In Place (CIP) System. The CIP System has been created to make cleaning fillers faster, easier and more cost effective. There is a constant demand for uptime and cost savings to stay competitive in today’s market. The Fogg CIP System can help manufactures do just that. By simply touching a button, the user can actually clean the machine in place without adding or removing any hardware. This enables the user to increase the amount of bottles filled, and decrease the amount of cleaning time, labor costs and operator contact with filling valves, increasing sanitation. The Fogg CIP System also quickly reclaims product in a sanitary manor that enables the reuse of product instead of letting it go to waste. The Fogg CIP System is a huge asset to hot fill manufactures who are concerned with temperature management. The system will help manage product temperature and filling valve temperatures when line stops occur. — Fogg Co., 3455 John F.
