Purity Dairies Inc., Nashville, Tenn.- Mark Ezell, pres., has received the President’s Call to Service Award, the highest honor bestowed by the President’s Council for Service and Civic Participation. He was presented with the award November 14 during a surprise announcement at the annual fundraiser for Rocketown Nashville, a youth services facility of which Ezell is co-founder.

Additionally, two new vice presidents who will work closely on the national Milk Mustache “got milk?” marketing campaign are Julia Kadison, who joins as v.p., marketing, and Julie Buric, who has been promoted to v.p., marketing.

National Dairy Board, Kansas City, Mo.- Les Hardesty, a Greeley, Colo., dairy farmer and member of the Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA) Board of Directors, was elected chairman of the National Dairy Board (NDB). He is serving his second three-year term on the board and was twice elected vice chairman. He is also chairman of DFA’s Mountain Area Council.
