A full-color ad in USA Today helped introduce the Slammers Starburst line.

Bravo! Foods, North Palm Beach, Fla., says that by year’s end it will triple the number of outlets to which it sells its Slammers ™ flavored milks.

To introduce its new Slammers Starburst Fruit and Crème Smoothies, the flavored milk marketer ran a full-color ad in USA Today last month.

Earlier this year the company’s drinks were in more than 14,000 total stores. With new distributors coming on-line since the launch of the new 3 Musketeers and Milky Way brands in mid-April, it is expected that products will be in more than 31,000 stores by mid-May. That number is expected to top 50,000 stores by the third quarter.

Bravo! has also completed a successful market testing of product placement in vending machines in several Florida schools. It will now work on product placement in an additional 17 schools in the Miami area. Bravo! expects its comprehensive brokerage network to continue to develop a nationwide presence for its Slammers® line in vending by the fall of 2005. The company currently has 27 distributors for the vending community and expects that number to grow to cover the entire country by the fourth quarter.

Additionally, Bravo! will re-formulate its Slammers line to better meet school nutritional guidelines, by reducing fat and sugar content.
