Seltzer announces rebranding to Glanbia Nutritionals Customized Solutions

Effective immediately, Seltzer Companies Inc., which includes Seltzer Nutritional Technologies and Seltzer Ingredients, has officially been renamed Glanbia Nutritionals (NA) Inc. and will operate under the Glanbia Nutritionals Customized Solutions brand.

“We are very pleased to announce the rebranding of our company,” said Richard Hazel, chief executive officer. “As part of the global Glanbia Group since 2006, it is only fitting that we complete the association with our parent company by undertaking this rebranding initiative. We look forward to continuing to provide our portfolio of nutritional ingredients, colors and customized micronutrient blends to manufacturers of nutritional, food, beverage, human health and personal care products.”

Kevin Field, vice president of business development, Glanbia Nutritionals Customized Solutions, said, “Important as this announcement may be, the key message to our customers is that regardless of our name, we are committed to providing the same quality products and exceptional service that we have built our reputation on over the past 28 years. Additionally, our staff and their contact numbers will remain the same.”

Raimund Hoenes, chief executive officer, Glanbia Nutritionals Customized Solutions worldwide, spoke of the synergy created by combining the global resources of the Glanbia Group with those of the newly rebranded North American organization. “Our global customers enjoy the benefits of four premix facilities: Glanbia’s plants in Shanghai, China and Orsingen, Germany, in collaboration with the former Seltzer plants in Carlsbad, Calif., and Springfield, Mo. Collectively, these facilities will enable us to partner with our global customers better than ever before.”

The 83,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art premix facility in Springfield, Mo., opened in the second quarter of 2009.

“We are looking ahead to the exciting innovations we can bring to the nutritional products sector,” Field said. “We have a strong focus on nutritional solutions that can overcome a vast range of development challenges and a strong position as a premier supplier of customized micronutrient premixes. We are confident that people will want to learn more about the benefits that our new enterprise will offer them when they visit us at the Glanbia Nutritionals Booth (#25064) at Supply Side West [which will take place Nov. 12-13 at the Venetian & Sands Expo in Las Vegas].”

Different name…Same commitment to excellent quality and service
