If PepsiCo can introduce flavored milk under the Quaker brand, then marketing a Cherry Garcia milk shake ought to be a snap. That seems to be the logic as the nation’s No. 2 soft drink company has signed a multi-year U.S. licensing agreement with Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream to sell premium milkshakes.

“What we’re really trying to do is bring the indulgence and reverence (of Ben & Jerry’s to a new line of drinks),” a spokesperson for Ben & Jerry’s told the Associated Press. “For us, it’s about leveraging Pepsi’s expertise in beverages combined with our experience in making indulgent products.”

Reports say the refrigerated shakes will be sold in glass bottles in convenience and grocery stores nationwide and are likely to feature classic Ben & Jerry’s flavors.

Rollout is expected by summer.
