Main Street Ingredients, LLC, La Crosse, Wis., has acquired Hilton House Foods, Inc., Wichita, Kan. Hilton House Foods, owned by Plaza Belmont, LLC, in Kansas City, Mo., manufactures specialty products primarily for the ice cream and bakery industries. Main Street Ingredients will continue to produce at the manufacturing plant in Wichita until it transitions production to its facility in La Crosse.

“Hilton House Foods has a good reputation in the food industry,” stated Dave Clark, CEO of Main Street Ingredients. “This is a great investment in the strategic direction of our organization.”

With this acquisition, Main Street Ingredients will continue to focus on serving key industries with its broad base of products and services. Working together will allow new customers to take advantage of Main Street’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, along with a well equipped Research & Development Center.


Hassia USA, which encompasses the sales and service support for the A+F Automation and Gasti product lines, has combined all of its sales and service organizations under the new corporate name, IWKA Packaging USA. According to Charles E. Ravalli, Pres. and CEO of IWKA Packaging USA, the change in structure will enable the company to offer numerous alternative packaging solutions and integrated systems, while increasing the depth of its after-market services.


Roquette America, Keokuk, Iowa has expanded its polyols capabilities by adding mannitol to its U.S. manufacturing facilities already producing maltitol, sorbitol, and other new products. The expansion is designed to meet continued growth needs of the healthy food and pharmaceutical markets.


Fogg is celebrating 50 years of doing business in the filling industry. Fogg was founded in 1956 by Clyde Fogg who started the company by making filling valves in his garage in Holland, Mich. As Fogg grew it went from the garage to a manufacturing facility and from filling valves to entire filling systems. Some of the innovations that Fogg has patented over the years are: VentraFlow valves, Clip N Go valves, Extreme Clean technology, Microbloc technology, and UV Sterilization systems just to name a few.

The company is now under ownership by Clyde’s son, Mike Fogg.

International Dispensing Corporation, a developer and marketer of proprietary dispensing solutions, and Steuben Foods, one of the nation’s largest low-acid aseptic producers, have entered into a long-term agreement, under which Steuben Foods will market three aseptic bag-in-box product lines featuring IDC’s Fresh Flow™ Tap.

Under the agreement, Steuben Foods has the exclusive right in North America to manufacture and sell bag-in-box coffee creamers, iced-coffee beverages, and acidified milk products using the Fresh Flow™ Tap for any non-refrigerated end-use. All three product lines will be developed and commercialized by Steuben Foods over the next twelve months. The Fresh Flow™ Tap is the world’s only certified and commercially proven aseptic dispensing tap. It can dispense low and high-acid products from a flexible bag or pouch without breaking sterility, and thus eliminate the need for refrigeration and preservatives.
