Tasha Callister, a member of the Naval Air Services, based in Mayport, Fla., is the most recent winner of Ben & Jerry’s “Do Us a Flavor” contest. Callister submitted a flavor recipe called “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, which is basically a caramel Ritz sandwich covered in chocolate, smashed and whipped into vanilla ice cream. She said the unique blend is based on her grandmother’s campfire treat of melting caramel and squishing it between two crackers and smothering it with chocolate.

“When I was contacted by the company that my recipe had been selected, I [had] kind of forgotten about the whole thing until then,” said Callister. More than 40,000 entries were received during the summer-long contest.
