Tampa FL, March 2013 - METTLER TOLEDO will sponsor the second annual Food Safety Exchange on June 111h and 12th, 2013 at the Hilton Plaza Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, Illinois. This two-day educational forum will bring together professionals in the food industry, including manufacturers, processors, catering and food service companies, retailers, standards owners, auditors, consultants, trade organizations and other practitioners to learn more about the current food safety regulatory environment.
The event will consist of two parallel presentation tracks. Track A is designed for companies that have already selected or are actually certified to one of the GFSI standards. Those presentations will provide in-depth information on the chosen standard. Track B is designed for companies that have not yet chosen a GFSI standard to certify to and the presentations will provide an overview of each of the four main standards––BRC, FSSC22000, IFS and SQF. The event agenda will also feature two 90-minute “Best Practice Case Studies” and two 90-minute “Panel Discussions.
Presenters at this year’s forum will include John Kukoly, Senior Manager of BRC, John Shapiro of Freeborn & Peters, LLC and Keynote Speaker Holly Mockus of FONA, as well as representatives from SQF, Con Agra Foods and Russell and Associates, supported by Robert Rogers, Mettler Toledo’s Senior Adviser for Food Safety and Regulation and Eric Schmidt, Mettler Toledo Market Manager for Industrial Marketing in North America.
The Food Safety Exchange forum in 2012 was very well received. Comments after the event included the following:
“This was one of the most informative sessions that I have attended. The subjects were all very interesting and I took away a lot of useful information. I thoroughly enjoyed both panel discussions at the end of days 1&2.”
